theParklander® has a recognized professional internship program developed to provide college students, high school juniors and seniors and post-secondary graduates hands-on experience in the areas of editorial, event production, photography, design, marketing, business operations and advertising.

Editorial   Editorial Associate

Applicants for the Editorial Associate position must submit 3-4 recent writing samples that demonstrate their experience in journalism, creative writing and reporting. Applicants currently enrolled in or a graduate of a writing or journalism program are given first consideration. Editorial interns will be given actual reporting, research and writing assignments that will require a high level of professionalism. Interns will become an active member of the magazine staff and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work as a team, track deadlines, maintain accountability to assignments and consistently attend editorial meetings. Two positions available.

Business   Advertising Associate

Applicants for the Advertising Associate position must have a passion for advertising, marketing and client development. Applicants currently enrolled in or a graduate of an advertising, marketing or public relations program are given first consideration. Advertising Associates will work on sales and marketing programs with team members and clients that require a high level of professionalism. Interns will become an active member of the advertising sales staff and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work as a team, track deadlines, maintain accountability to assignments and to consistently attend sales and staff meetings. Client and project management skills, a must. Two positions available.

Marketing   Marketing Intern

Applicants for the Marketing Associate position must have a passion for marketing—from strategy to implementation. Applicants currently enrolled in or a graduate of a marketing, advertising or public relations program are given first consideration. Marketing Associates will work on marketing programs with team members and clients that require a high level of professionalism. Interns will become an active member of the marketing staff and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work as a team, track deadlines, maintain accountability to assignments and to consistently attend marketing and staff meetings. Client and project management skills, a must. Two positions available.

Design   Design Intern

Applicants for the Design Intern position must have a passion for graphic design, layout, magazine publishing and advertising design. Applicants currently enrolled in or a graduate of a graphic design program are given first consideration. Design Interns will work on advertising, client, magazine, event and brand projects with team members and clients that require a high level of professionalism. Interns will become an active member of the production staff and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work as a team, track deadlines, maintain accountability to assignments and to consistently attend art and staff meetings. Client and project management skills, a must. Two positions available.

Art   Photo/Art Intern

Applicants for the Photo/Art Intern position must have at least two years of photography and/or photo retouching experience. Photo interns will gain a deep knowledge of the creative process of shooting for a magazine in addition to the rigors of production scheduling and post-production. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent Photoshop skills. Photo Interns are expected to provide their own camera equipment for assignment work. One position available.
